Oh.my.goodness!! If you ever find yourself in Houston Texas, or live there and have family visiting for the holidays, check out the Lone Star Flight Museum!
We were there for a cousin’s wedding last weekend, and it was so incredibly cool… for both adults and kids!
Why we loved it!
– So. many. airplanes!!
– It just opened in Sept. (2017) and it’s really clean
– Multiple hands-on learning exhibits
– Story Times
– Kids 3 and under are free
– Plenty of space so it wasn’t crowded
– They have membership levels
– Offer field trips
I loved how close you could get to the planes and all the information they provided about each aircraft.
FLIGHT EXPERIENCES
Most planes are operational and for a fee you can fly in one! Here’s more info on flight experiences- this would make a fun splurge gift 🙂
My pictures don’t do it justice of how cool and big this place is!
HANDS-ON LEARNING
Below shows one of the hands-on experience rooms.
This would be a great field trip for schools or home-school organizations!
PLENTY OF SPACE
There’re two airplane hangers and both have
balconies that you can use to get an elevated view of all the planes.
(The below picture is only a small view of one of the hangers, each room is huge!)
Volunteers are there to tell you about the planes and keep them looking beautiful.
What are some other fun museums that your family loves?!
